There was a 200 meter queue from the Amsterdam Bijlmer station to the Heineken Music Hall entrance. Hundreds of people were waiting there to enter the Blackbox; At 9 o’clock Avril Lavigne was giving a live concert. The Jonas Brothers did the support act, and they were great. The crowd was really amused, but like I did, most of them came there especially for Avril Lavigne.
This was the first time that I went to one of her concerts, so I didn’t knew what to expect. When Avril entered the stage, the crowd was going out of it’s mind. It was an absolutely awesome night, and her live music is very good. Unlike a lot of other artists who only sound good on a CD, and sound very bad when they’re at a live performance. This show was very spectacular, with a lot of video and light effects, which made the show even better.
Avril also played the drums and the guitar, and the way she communicated with her fans was really great. This was a damn good experience, and if I have the opportunity again, I’m sure I’ll go to her next concert.
