Launching a successful blog is not that easy as many people think. It doesn’t only need good writing, but also marketing strategies, a good layout for your blog, and a lot of other knowledge is needed to make your blog successful, especially if you’d like to monetize it. This is the third post in the “Free for your website or blog” series.

Blogging Tips and Tricks

One of the best resources to begin when you want to make your blog more successful, is ProBlogger. You can find information about the blogging basics to monetizing your content here, and this is definitely a good start. If you’ve just started your blog I recommend you to check out the blogging tips for beginners guide.

Another good website for beginning bloggers to blogging experts is Daily Blog Tips. Personally I really like the 40 practical tips for setting up your blog. Those tips helped my with a good start for my weblog, and tell you about everything you need to get started, from plugins to themes and validation. At Daily Blog Tips you can also find a huge list of resources, like Traffic Generators, Hosts and Directories. You should also checkout their impressive list of ping services.

Running a successful blog doesn’t only depend on your writing. Of course the quality of your posts is very important, but don’t forget about the look and feel of your weblog. On Pro Blog Design you can learn everything about designing a great theme that actually adds some value to your blog. This weblog is mostly dedicated to your blog’s design and comes with a lot of tips and tricks to let your visitors remember your theme.

I’ve learned a lot of the weblogs mentioned above, and I recommend you to visit them once in a while, to improve the quality of your blog.

  1. Thanks for the recommendation!

ProBlogger and DailyBlogTips both taught me a lot about blogging as well. I’m still subscribed to them now. There’s always something new to learn.

One other thing that might help some people is to join a blogging forum. I learnt a fair bit in forums, but more importantly, it made blogging even more fun, and it was a good place to promote your blog. :D

http://www.theblogexperiment.com/blog-forum/ was my favorite, but http://forum.authorityblogger.com/ was very good as well. I’m not active on either anymore though.

Michael Martins last blog post..Hiring Blog Design Writers, $50 per post!

  2. umm yahh your great i placed you in my favorites on everything :] thanks for the great post keep up the good work :]
