Redbull Air Race Rotterdam 2008: Rainy but Spectacular
19. July 2008

Today I went to the Redbull Air Race in Rotterdam with one of my classmates. I had never visited an air race before, so except of what I saw in the promotion videos, I didn’t knew what to expect. Before even one plane had flown the track, the weather turned and it started raining very hard. The wind blew with 42 kilometres an hour. The first qualification round was postponed for half an hour.

The first qualification round was amazing and I was very impressed about the skills of the pilots. Flying those tracks requires a lot of knowledge and experience, but flying it with these weather conditions is even more difficult. Unfortunately the second qualification round was cancelled because of the bad weather.
