PHP script for generating QR codes with the Google Chart API
17. January 2010

As I’m convinced that it’s just a matter of time before QR (Quick Response) codes are a standard in our daily lives, I played around a bit. I found out that Google added QR codes to their Chart API, and wrote a little piece of code. I’ve done it quickly and I should really enhance both the coding and its functionality, but here’s my first PHP script for generating QR codes.

You can try the demo of version 1 here, and the demo of version 2 here.

If you’d like to use the source for your own project, feel free to download it.

Update: Visit CreateQR.com to see it in action and generate your own QR codes or download the WordPress plugin.
