The last couple of days here in Vancouver mainly existed of taking some rest, communication with family and friends back home in the Netherlands, and some short trips in and around Vancouver.

Stanley Park and the Granville Island public market.

I'm in Vancouver now for almost one week, and it's great. The people are nice, the weather is good, and there's a lot to see here. Yesterday I went to Stanley Park, a huge park close to downtown Vancouver. We walked around the park and sat in the grass. It's a great place to relax, and a lot of civilians of Vancouver will probably go there to do so.

I’m in Vancouver; Alex Fraser bridge and Drive-in.

On Tuesday the 22th of July I went to Vancouver to visit my friend Kelly. After a 10 hour flight I finally arrived at Vancouver international airport. At the immigration department they asked me a lot of questions, about what I'm going to do in Canada, where I'm going to stay and they wanted me to show my ticket back to the Netherlands.

Memorable: Avril Lavigne live at the HMH Amsterdam.

There was a 200 meter queue from the Amsterdam Bijlmer station to the Heineken Music Hall entrance. Hundreds of people were waiting there to enter the Blackbox; At 9 o'clock Avril Lavigne was giving a live concert. The Jonas Brothers did the support act, and they were great. The crowd was really amused, but like I did, most of them came there especially for Avril Lavigne.
