Second exam week results and KLM Internship.

It's been a busy week. I had 10 exams, some of them were easy, and some of them were pretty hard. For example the navigation exam, which was divided in two parts; general navigation and radio navigation. The general navigation part mainly existed out of flight computer exercises. With a flight computer (Jeppesen) you can calculate the wind direction, TAS, heading, track, etc. It's not difficult to use a flight computer, but remembering all the techniques to calculate the missing values is difficult.

Internet Explorer 8 (Beta 2) seems to be better, but I’m not convinced yet….

I'm a Mozilla Firefox user, it's safe, fast and reliable. It must have been years ago since I used Microsoft's Internet Explorer as my main web browser. This doesn't automatically mean that I never use IE. For testing my websites and those of my clients, I still need to use IE6, 7 and 8.

Lycos discontinues its webhosting services and recommends Strato.

One of Europe's biggest webhosting companies, Lycos stops offering webhosting in the Netherlands. According to Lycos the webhosting services weren't profitable enough. Not really a big problem, was what I thought before I entered the nightmare of transferring my domains to another hosting company.

How to: Creating a Custom Archive Page Template in WordPress.

In Wordpress there's a feature to assign a custom template to any page within your blog. At my blog, for example, I've done this at the Archive page. You've got the ability to hard code anything into your page template so it's extremely customizable.
